FAQ

  • QCloud Audit compares your live security records to a set of audit rules/risks – then shows you what users can violate those rules/risks and why.
  • QCloud Audit is a subscription service. With your subscription you request an audit from our on line portal. On your local workstation – you’ll download our Q Agent java application. The Q Agent will connect to your ERP database – then extract your relevant security data. Then it encrypts the data and transmits it to our QCloud Server hosted on Amazon AWS. It processes your data and produces results that you can view interactively on the portal and print out to Excel and PDF.
  • Your local workstation only needs to have the latest version of Java (www.java.com)
  • QCloud only extracts your security related data.
  • QCloud will delete your source data once it has processed your results. Only your audit results are stored in QCloud on our AWS server. You can purge your results at anytime.
  • Only Users that you designate can get access to the portal. An admin user has full access while a general user can only view audit results.
  • The Q Agent uses Oracle Triple DES Encryption for at rest and in transit data.
  • You can export your audit results to PDF or Excel.
  • QCloud comes with a set of over 140 Rules and Risks representing both Paired Risks (commonly referred to as Segregation of Duties Risks) and Single High Risk processes or functions.

  • Yes. You can create as many risks as you like. They can include your custom applications. You can also create as many groups of risks that you like. And you can copy the standard risks and make modifications.
  • Q Software Global support provides issue resolution for all customers.
  • The audit requires a member of your technical staff with knowledge of your ERP System and database access.
  • You can run QCloud audit as many times as your subscription agreement allows.
  • Yes, we give you the option to exclude non prompted menus from violation details.
  • No. We do have a mitigation feature that will allow you to flag these “false” positives so that they are filtered out of your future audits.

  • During the license audit, the QAgent reviews transaction data on your local workstation to get a distinct user count. Once finished, only the user ID (not name or personal information) and table ID are encrypted and sent to QCloud for additional analysis/compilation.
  • QCloud License audit captures the ERP user ID and transaction table ID. For JD Edwards, it will also capture application access information from the security table.
  • We use the official Oracle Component Global Price List.
  • Depending on your agreement, Oracle may consider the following in their license use:
    • Users that have entered/changed transactional data at a parent SKU Level (i.e. Financial Management)
    • Users that have entered/changed transactional data at a Child SKU Level (i.e. Accounts Payable)
    • users with security access that permits them to add/change transactional data
  • 12 Months. The QCloud License Audit will provide you with a distinct user count and details for all users (active/inactive) during the 12 months previous of your QCloud Audit run date.
  • No. QCloud does not share data. You control who can access/view your QCloud results.
