Automation enables customers to implement efficient, sustainable, scalable security with minimal effort upfront
Denver, CO – April 30, 2020 – Oracle Partner Q Software Global has announced the release of AutoSecure, the latest addition to its QSoftware suite of security management and auditing solutions for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
AutoSecure is an automation tool which enables customers to create a Best Practice, compliant Role-based security model very quickly, using Seeded Roles and Segregation of Duties (SoD) Rules which have been developed by JD Edwards security and audit experts.
“Implementing or overhauling JD Edwards EnterpriseOne security can be a daunting task, and designing Roles from scratch can take a lot of effort and time,” says Mike Ward, CEO of Q Software. “AutoSecure automates the process, allowing clients to create a Role-based security model within hours, then we can help them test and tune it to their business.”
AutoSecure reduces security implementation costs by automating around 80% of the workload. It scans the customer’s system to identify which JD Edwards modules they are using, and recommends the relevant Roles, and SoD rules, where required, then populates the security tables in Security Manager Pro (SMP).
The base model can be enhanced to include security for custom applications and checked for SoD conflicts before deployment, then tested and tailored to the customer’s business processes during user acceptance testing.
With this approach, customers can implement All Doors Closed (Deny All) security from the start of their security or upgrade project, and test it thoroughly during their user acceptance testing process, minimizing the risk of access problems at go-live.
“AutoSecure offers a pragmatic yet scalable solution for JD Edwards customers who need to get efficient security and SoD controls in and working as quickly and easily as possible,” says Ward.
AutoSecure is available now.
