QCloud License Audit as a Service Makes It Easy for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Oracle E-Business Suite Customers to Stay Compliant and Avoid Unexpected Charges for Non-Compliant Usage. Q Software will demonstrate the new service on booth 1225 at COLLABORATE 18, April 22-26, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Denver CO, March 5, 2018 – Q Software Global, an Oracle Gold Partner and provider of audit, security and productivity tools for Oracle ERP customers, has today announced QCloud License Audit. The Cloud-based service allows customers to analyze their usage of ERP modules against their licensed allowances.
With this innovative service here, customers can login to the QCloud portal to request an audit and receive results within an hour, showing how many users have updated tables in each module and identifying any modules where usage exceeds the licensed quota.
“As organisations grow and ERP usage expands, it can be difficult to keep track of who’s using what,” said Brian Stanz, Chief Technology Officer at Q Software. “If the Oracle License Audit team come knocking, this can lead to unexpected, and often large, bills for non-compliant usage. This handy service, which can be run on demand, with no technical effort, makes it easy for Oracle customers to monitor usage and stay compliant.”
How it works:
Customers log in to the QCloud portal, then set up their license details using the ERP module listing provided. (At the next release, customers will be able to populate license details automatically by retrieving them from the Oracle Support site.)
Customers can then request a license audit and download the Q Agent, which connects to the ERP database and gathers the usage information needed, then pushes it to QCloud for analysis. All data is fully encrypted and totally secure in flight and at rest.
When the audit is complete, the requester receives an email notification with links to access the results, which show usage by ERP module, including custom modules. Any non-compliant usage is highlighted by module, and users can drill down to investigate the statistics.
The audit helps customers to:
- Keep a regular check on license usage
- Provide evidence for the Oracle License Audit team
- Avoid unexpected charges for non-compliant use.
QCloud also enables Oracle ERP customers to conduct a security audit of their ERP system within hours and without technical effort. As a special offer for the launch of the QCloud License Audit, customers who subscribe for a QCloud Security Audit before the end of March will receive a License Audit free of charge.
