Audit and Security-related Education Sessions:
Auditing EBS Security – Working with your Auditors & Preparing Segregation of Duties Reporting
Tuesday, December 8, 11-11:55am PT
Presented by Mike Ward, Q Software
Do you want to understand how to handle your Auditor?
Most companies undergo an annual IT audit, but they often approach it with dread, wasting time and money to satisfy the single event, rather than building a repeatable process.
Whether it’s an internal or external audit, you’ll need to generate several reports to provide specific information about Segregation of Duties within your company. This is not about SOX; it’s about fraud prevention, and implementing common sense controls to ensure efficiency in the business.
This session will cover:
- Building a relationship with Internal Audit
- How to build a Risk Matrix in a week
- The top 5 SoD Reports you must have
- Internal Controls: What are they? Which are essential?
- Planning for your audit: reducing the stress.
Managing EBS Application Security When Moving to the Cloud
Wednesday, December 9, 1-1:55pm PT
Presented by Mike Ward, Q Software
Many OATUG Forum Live attendees are debating a move to the Cloud. They are either considering moving EBS to Oracle Tech Infrastructure or some other service such as AWS. Or they are looking at cloud-based edge solutions to integrate into EBS. And finally, some are considering the cost vs. benefit of moving from EBS to Oracle ERP Cloud in some form or fashion. This session will cover all three (3) of those scenarios, the pros and cons of the move, and how to manage application security regardless of what strategy is adopted.
