Looking forward to INFOCUS
Just like for Collaborate, I thought I would share some thoughts going into the next event, INFOCUS 2017, which is being held this month in Denver. But – didn’t we just conference? Oh wait, that was the Partner Summit… but this close? Yes, INFOCUS is for customers. I’m sure things will equalize, but ‘holy start the preparation again, Batman!’
In all seriousness, all of these conferences, while time-consuming, are incredibly important to customers, partners and to JD Edwards.
At the Partner Summit, we spent a lot of time talking with other partners about the JD Edwards landscape and what to expect in the coming months and years. It was also a great opportunity to introduce our newest offerings, cloud-based Automated Audits, which can be included in our partners’ Managed Services. We now offer QCloud audits for JD Edwards and Oracle E-Business Suite, and we’ll be announcing the Oracle Cloud ERP Audit this fall – stay tuned! Also, customers who use various JD Edwards partners for their managed services can expect to see more Q Software options in the very near future.
Now on to INFOCUS. This is where we get to meet with all of the customers that are in the weeds with the products from JD Edwards and partners. It’s a great opportunity to really understand where people are having problems and help them to formulate solutions, either existing or new.
I’ll be asking customers about UX One and where they are going with the Role-based pages. For me, it’s about how they are implementing and securing them. This is a key piece of the puzzle and I want to understand more about what they’re doing.
The other area I want to explore is the new continuous release strategy that JD Edwards will now use moving forward. Yes, there was that tease about a new code line in the future (I can guess why…), but what are customers thinking about this? If it is about ease of maintenance of their code base, then people should be very happy. We will see.
If you’d like to share your views on these topics or discuss your current challenges, do drop by booth 206 to meet the team. We’re also presenting a number of Education Sessions – find out more about those here.
Have a great conference and I look forward to seeing you there!
